Gerrit Cole continued his brilliant start to 2021 with another record setting performance in the 10-0 victory over the Detroit Tigers. The powerful righty tossed six scoreless innings, walked none and struck out 12 batters. Cole has now accumulated 62 strikeouts over his 37 and 2/3 innings of work in April, the most for any New York Yankees pitcher in his first six appearances of a season. The 30-year-old ace has now recorded 10 or more strikeouts with no walks in his last three starts, tying the longest streak in MLB since 1901.
