George Brett

Tallying both 300 home runs and 3,000 hits is an incredibly special feat for any Major League Baseball player. George Brett, after smashing his 300th homer in a 7-3 victory over Cleveland, became just the sixth player in MLB history to do so. Interestingly, this incredible milestone was reached on the day before Brett would turn 40 years old.
