The San Francisco Giants exploded for a 10-run first inning in game one of their doubleheader against the Colorado Rockies. The first frame was highlighted by Brandon Belt's five RBI and two hits, which included a grand slam. Buster Posey added to the rally with a single and a homer of his own. The San Francisco Giants recorded a total of eight first-inning hits and knocked out the opposing pitcher before the Colorado Rockies had an at-bat. The 10-run first inning marks the most for the Giants since they tallied 11 on June 29, 1967.
