Moises Alou

SEPTEMBER 23, 1992 — Following an intentional walk issued to Larry Walker to load the bases in the bottom of the 14th inning, Moises Alou stepped up to plate with a chance to end the prolonged contest between the Montréal Expos and Pittsburgh Pirates. The second-generation outfielder put a drive into a Roger Mason pitch and sent it just over the left-field wall at Olympic Stadium. This walk-off blast put an exclamation point at the end of Alou’s stellar rookie campaign.
