Gerrit Cole put the finishing touches on an impressive stretch of dominance for the Yankees starting rotation. After Corey Kluber fired a no-hitter, Domingo German followed with seven scoreless innings pitched. Then, the Yankees turned to Jordan Montgomery, who outdueled Carlos Rodon with seven shutout innings and 11 punchouts. Cole's dominant, seven scoreless innings pitched on Saturday culminated the first time since 1932 that four consecutive Yankees pitchers each fired at least seven innings with zero runs allowed.
