Yadier Molina collects his 2,000th career hit, a single to center field off of Cubs reliever Rex Brothers in the 7th inning of a 5-3 Cardinals victory on August 2, 2021 at Busch Stadium. The milestone hit came in Molina's 19th season with St. Louis, extending his franchise record for games caught (2,054) and becoming just the 6th catcher in MLB history to reach 2,000 hits.
