Machado got things going early with a two-run blast that was scorched to center field with an exit velocity of 107.6 mph and a launch angle of just 18 degrees, per Statcast. Just two innings later, the 28-year-old clubbed a three-run moon shot to left-center field to extend the Padres lead to 5-0.
