Logan Gilbert set the tone for the Seattle Mariners in the 4-0 win over the New York Yankees with an authoritative start. The 6-foot-6 rookie scattered just a single hit with no walks over the course of seven scoreless innings and struck out a career-high eight batters. Logan had his full arsenal in sync, flashing his devastating off-speed mix with his tightly-wound, upper-90-mph fastball. Gilbert is the first Seattle starting pitcher to hurl seven-plus innings, allow one hit or less and issue no walks since Felix Hernandez' perfect game in 2012.
