Roy Campanella

MAY 23, 1952 — Catcher Roy Campanella led the charge for the Brooklyn Dodgers in their 5-1 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. The right-handed slugger accounted for all five RBI in the contest as he went 2-4 with a solo shot and a grand slam, his first of the 1952 season. Both homers were hit off Phillies starter Karl Drews and came within the first three innings of the contest.
