MAY 24, 2007 — Atlanta Braves right-hander John Smoltz and former teammate Tom Glavine were set to square off at Turner Field for an NL East divisional matchup. Smoltz outdueled his longtime friend with seven scoreless innings and earned his 200th career victory as a starting pitcher. In his winning effort, Smoltz became the first pitcher in MLB history to record 200 wins and 150 saves, having saved 154 games for the Club before converting back to a full-time starter in 2005.
