The Japanese stud set the tone early for his Club, crushing a hanging breaking ball for a leadoff blast. Ohtani’s homer not only paved the way to an eventual win, 4-3, but also put him in rare company as the first Dodgers player since Roy Campanella (1955) to log an RBI in a franchise-tying nine straight games. The 29-year-old continues to rewrite the record books in his first season in LA.
