Ryan Jeffers had a career day at the plate in the high-scoring matchup between the Minnesota Twins and the Detroit Tigers. The 24-year-old rookie from Raleigh, North Carolina, went 2-for-3 with two walks, two homers and six RBI. Jeffers' first blast came in the bottom of the fourth inning, as he connected on a 95-mph fastball and sent it over the center-field wall for a towering grand slam. Longball number two came in the bottom of the eighth inning, this time for a two-run shot just over the left-field wall. Despite Ryan's immense effort with his bat, the Twins would fall, 17-14, to the Tigers.
