New York Yankees reliever Mariano Rivera recorded his 300th career save in the AL East Division showdown with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Rivera struck out one batter over the course of his spotless ninth-inning frame to shut the door on the Yankees 7-5 win. Mariano became the first Yankees pitcher to reach the career saves milestone and just the 17th in MLB history.
