The A's became the first team in MLB history to hit three consecutive home runs to start a game, with Matt Olson, Marcus Semien and Khris Davis all going deep on the first three swings of the game. Olson's blast came off of Boston starter Chris Sale, who allowed just one hit in 5.2 innings. The A's went on to win the game 5-0, with Olson and Yan Gomes combining for four hits and three RBIs.
