George Springer led the way for the Toronto Blue Jays in their 8-6 victory over the Cleveland Indians at Rogers Centre. The 31-year-old from New Britain, Connecticut, went 4-for-5 at the plate with two runs scored and three RBI. Springer launched a first-pitch, leadoff home run to dead center field, which marked his third leadoff longball in the last five games and the 42nd of his career. George collected his final two RBI with a two-run double in the bottom of the third inning.
