Robbie Ray led the way for the Toronto Blue Jays 7-3 win over the Baltimore Orioles with a historic performance on the mound. The 29-year-old southpaw scattered just four hits over seven innings of two-run ball and struck out 10 batters. Ray has now recorded 1,241 strikeouts through his first 1,000 career innings pitched, which marks the most in MLB history. The previous strikeouts record through 1,000 career innings was held by Yu Darvish with 1,222. Additionally, Robbie Joins Roger Clemens as the only pitchers in franchise history to fan 200-plus batters in 26 outings or less in a single season.
