Gary Sanchez did his best to will the Yankees to a victory over the Baltimore Orioles and his day began with a second-inning grand slam. When the Orioles threatened to come back and narrowed the score to 5-4, Sanchez again slugged a home run, this time pushing the Yankees lead to 7-4. However, the catcher's herculean efforts were thwarted by an Orioles squad that stole a win from the Yankees by a final score of 8-7. Sanchez finished his monstrous afternoon with two home runs and six RBI.
