Miguel Cabrera

Miguel Cabrera made history at the plate in the Detroit Tigers 10-4 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night. The Maracay, Venezuela, native extended his tear to nine straight plate appearances with a knock. Cabrera’s effort marked the longest streak by a player age 38 or older and the most extensive in the history of the franchise within the expansion era (since 1961).
