Ryan Mountcastle’s 29th home run of the 2021 season broke the Cal Ripken Jr. held, Orioles franchise record for single season homers by a rookie. Mountcastle, who said he was surprised to achieve such a feat, continues to impress all with his incredible performances this year. The 24-year old, Winter Springs native’s record-breaking solo homer did much to help his Orioles overcome the Yankees this Thursday. Mountcastle’s home run also tied him with teammate Cedric Mullins for leading the team in homers this season.
