Alek Manoah and Frank Schwindel were named the MLB Rookies of the Month for September on behalf of their spectacular contributions on the field. Manoah was dominant on the mound over the final month of the season, posting a 4-0 record with 41 punchouts over 37 and 1/3 innings of work. For the second straight month, Schwindel has been the top rookie performer in the National League. The 29-year-old batted an impressive .344 with seven homers, 22 RBI and tallied 18 extra-base hits.
