Nelson Cruz joined rare company after launching a 406-foot solo blast off of the catwalk at Tropicana Field in the bottom of the third inning in game one of the ALDS. This homer marked Cruz' 18th Postseason longball, tying him with Mickey Mantle, Reggie Jackson and Jose Altuve for the sixth most all time. Also, at 41 years and 98 days old, Nelson is the second oldest player to connect for a Postseason home run. The oldest player to accomplish this feat was Julio Franco in 2001 at age 43.
