Luis García

With Justin Verlander out of the starting rotation in 2021, Luis Garcia stepped up in a major way and had a brilliant rookie campaign on the mound. The 24-year-old from Bolivar, Venezuela, held an impressive 3.48 ERA over 155 and 1/3 innings of work with an 11-8 record. Garcia also led all qualified rookie hurlers with 167 strikeouts.
