In the club's 13-4 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies in the day game of their day/night doubleheader, two Washington Nationals players combined for a result-securing nine RBI: Luis Garcia and Joey Meneses. Meneses collected four RBI across his three hits on the day, hitting a solo home run in the fifth inning of the contest. Garcia's offensive contribution was undoubtedly highlighted by his eighth-inning, three-run blast, but also included two RBI singles, doing much to propel his Nationals to victory.
