After losing Game 1 of the National League Wild Card Series, the New York Mets had their backs against the wall, needing a victory in last night's Game 2. Thankfully for the Queens-located ballclub, two Mets centerpieces, Pete Alonso and Francisco Lindor, belted impactful longballs to help secure their Club's eventual 7-3 victory. Specifically, both homers were solo shots, and Lindor's opened the game's scoring in the first inning, while Alonso's fifth-inning drive gave his Club a lead they'd never lose.
