During yesterday's Game 2 of the NLCS between the Philadelphia Phillies and the San Diego Padres, brothers on opposing ballclubs took to the field. For the first time in Major League Baseball history, a pair of siblings faced off against each other as a pitcher and hitter, with Phillies hurler Aaron Nola throwing to his older brother, Austin, who was playing catcher for the Padres. The first at-bat went in Aaron's favor, with Austin grounding out, but the next time they faced each other, Austin connected for an RBI single.
