Jim Thome's decades-spanning career was incredible from start to finish, as the Hall-of-Fame slugger finished his career with an incredible 612 home runs. On this day, Thome belted two longballs in a contest between his Club and the Detroit Tigers. Thome's first home run of the contest was a solo shot struck in the third inning off Tigers pitcher Brian Williams. Thome's second was an eighth-inning grand slam that brought his RBI tally to six, contributing significantly to his Club's 11-3 victory.
