Pedro Martinez

Pedro Martinez played a crucial role in his Boston Red Sox late-season, 3-1 victory over the New York Yankees. Astonishingly, Martinez threw a complete game, striking out an incredible 17 Yankees batters while walking none of them. Martinez was on fire, and allowed just one hit, a home run in the second inning, but his composure throughout the rest of the contest handed his team their victory.
