MAY 12, 2000 — Pedro Martinez was nearly unhittable against the division-rival Baltimore Orioles. The ace right-hander tossed a complete-game shutout, racking up 15 strikeouts and allowing just two hits in the 9-0 victory. Interestingly enough, exactly a year prior on May 12th, 1999, Pedro had a similar outing as he went eight innings strong with an identical 15 punchouts.
