Nestor Cortes continued his incredible run of top-notch pitching in his New York Yankees 5-1 win over the Chicago White Sox yesterday. Cortes threw for a career-high eight innings in the contest, allowing just three hits and one earned run, while striking out seven White Sox batters. Amazingly, this incredible start places him firmly atop the AL ERA leaderboard, with an astonishingly low 1.35 mark.
