OCTOBER 28, 1995 — The 1995 World Series, which pitted Cleveland against the Atlanta Braves, was hotly contested from the start; so, it should come to no surprise that Game 6 was competitive down to the very last pitch. Tom Glavine, who pitched eight innings in the final contest, was lauded the hero after he allowed just one hit and struck out eight Cleveland batters over the course of this final contest. Glavine's jaw-dropping, on-the-mound performance paved the way for his Club's 1-0 victory, making them World Series Champions.
