Miami Marlins right-handed starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara’s 2022 Major League Baseball campaign continued in its phenomenal fashion through his Club’s 2-1, extra-innings victory over the Washington Nationals last night. Throwing for a jaw dropping nine scoreless innings, Alcantara whiffed six Washington batters and, amazingly, walked none of them. This stunning performance brought his ERA down to an impressive 1.61, the third lowest in MLB.
