Despite his Cincinnati Reds loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers last night, veteran Reds first baseman Joey Votto still gave the home fans at Great American Ball Park something to celebrate. In the bottom of the ninth inning, Votto recorded his 1,000th hit at his beloved home stadium by hitting a single to short left-field. The passing of this milestone made Votto just the fourth Reds batter in history to reach 1,000 hits in front of their home fans over the course of his career.
