After making the 1,989th appearance of his Major League Baseball career yesterday afternoon, Joey Votto passed fellow Canadian Baseball legend Larry Walker to become the Canadian-born player with the most games under his belt. Votto’s been indispensable to his Cincinnati Reds since joining the Club in 2007, collecting over 2,000 hits and 342 home runs for his Reds so far. What made this milestone moment even sweeter for Votto was his Club’s 8-5 victory over the Chicago Cubs.
