After recording the 69th RBI of his 2022 Major League Baseball campaign in yesterday's midday contest between his New York Mets and the Miami Marlins, Pete Alonso made an interesting bit of franchise history. Amazingly, Alonso now holds the record for a Mets batter by accumulating the most RBI through the month of June, passing Mets legend Mike Piazza's previously held record of 68. Thankfully for Mets fans, Alonso shows no signs of slowing down and continues to be a key piece in the Mets puzzle.
