Miguel Cabrera, who famously recorded his 3,000th hit earlier in the 2022 Major League Baseball season, continues to collect hits and climb the all-time leader list, passing legend after legend. As a result of a ninth-inning single to right field, Cabrera notched his 3,054th career hit, usurping Rod Carew and becoming 27th on the all-time hits list. Although Cabrera and his Detroit Tigers took home an 11-7 loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks, Cabrera’s history-making hit gave Tigers fans something to truly celebrate.
