Mike Piazza

It was a glorious day for the New York Mets and their fans when they acquired would-be captain Mike Piazza in a trade with the Florida Marlins. For the price of Piazza, the Marlins would receive three players in return: Preston Wilson, Ed Yarnall, and Geoff Goetz. Interestingly, Piazza wasn’t with the Marlins too long, as he had only played five games for Florida after the Marlins had acquired him from the Los Angeles Dodgers the week before.
