Last night's series opener between the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees was tightly contested from start to finish and featured an absolutely electric conclusion. With the game tied in extra-innings, while on third base, Red Sox shortstop Xander Bogaerts capitalized on a wild pitch from Yankees hurler Michael King and made a dash for home. Amazingly, Bogaerts scored the eventual winning run thanks to this bit of courageous baserunning, handing his Club their 5-4 victory.
