During yesterday's meeting between his Houston Astros and the Oakland Athletics, veteran Astros hurler Justin Verlander made history by passing both Curt Schilling and Bob Gibson on the all-time strikeout list. Remarkably, Verlander fanned 10 Athletics batters on the way to his Club's 5-0 victory, throwing his 3,121st Major League Baseball strikeout in the process. Incredibly, Verlander also notched the league-leading 13th win of his 2022 MLB campaign, a feat impressive on its own.
