In last night’s meeting between his New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox, Yankees outfielder Matt Carpenter put on an incredible show, notching two home runs, and seven RBI, on the way to his Club’s eventual 14-1 win. Carpenter’s first home run, a three-run blast, was belted in the first inning off Red Sox starter Nick Pivetta. Carpenter’s second was a fifth-inning, three-run shot struck off lefty Darwinzon Hernandez, before walking in the eighth to bring his RBI tally to seven on the night.
