New York Yankees starting pitcher Gerrit Cole extended his record to 9-2 after his Club's 13-2 rout of the Boston Red Sox yesterday afternoon. Amazingly, Cole whiffed 12 Red Sox batters, while walking none of them, over his seven-inning stint on the mound. Cole's 2022 Major League Baseball campaign has gone swimmingly so far, and this jaw dropping performance was just what his Club needed to extend their lead over the American League East Division before the MLB All-Star Game break.
