Chicago White Sox starting pitcher Dylan Cease earned his ninth win of the season on Sunday afternoon and made some team strikeout history in the process. The 26-year-old right-hander whiffed eight in the 11-0 win, becoming the fastest pitcher in White Sox history to record 500 career strikeouts. Cease surpassed Chris Sale to take the first place spot – having run up 500 batters in just 399 1/3 innings. The fireballer leads the Majors with 150 punchouts at the MLB All-Star break.
