Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Dylan Cease took advantage of some extra rest, fine-tuning his strikeout repertoire for his start against the Angels. The 30-year-old allowed just two runs over five innings and racked up a dozen strikeouts to fuel a 5-2 win. Needing 110 pitches to get through his outing, Cease secured his first win with his new Club.
