It didn't take Oakland Athletics call-up catcher Shea Langeliers long to hit the first home run of his Major League Baseball career, as he did so in just his second MLB appearance: last night's bout with the Texas Rangers. The milestone longball was struck in the eighth inning of the contest, was good for two runs, and was sent over the right-center-field wall. Langeliers' first-career home run tacked some insurance on to his Club's lead on their way to a comprehensive, 7-2 victory.
