New York Mets All-Star first baseman Pete Alonso’s 2022 Major League Baseball campaign has been inspiring, and after last night’s three-RBI showing, he set a new franchise record. Specifically, after collecting his 100th RBI of the year, Alonso officially became the fastest Mets player to collect 100 RBI in a single season, doing so in just 120 games. What’s more, Alonso belted the 30th home run of his campaign, and his performance did much to push his Mets onto their 7-2 victory.
