Framber Valdez
Sets MLB Record for Most Consecutive Quality Starts by Left-Hander
Framber Valdez - 2022 MLB TOPPS NOW® Card 809 - PR: 273
Houston Astros hurler Framber Valdez had an incredible night on the mound on Tuesday – The lefty went eight innings, allowing just two runs while striking out eight as he picked up his 14th win of the season against interstate foes the Texas Rangers. Valdez is enjoying a career year, leading the American League in innings pitched as well as complete games with two. With 22, he has the most consecutive quality starts in a season by a left-hander in MLB history and will look to eclipse deGrom’s record of 24 thrown in 2018.
