St. Louis Cardinals designated hitter Alec Burleson picked up his first career big-league hit on Sunday afternoon as his team took on the Pittsburgh Pirates. The second round selection from the 2020 MLB Draft roped a line drive back up the middle in the top of the eighth inning off Pirates reliever Duane Underwood Jr. Burleson had been hitting .331 at Triple-A Memphis upon his call-up with a team-leading 87 RBI and 20 HRs.
