Alec Burleson

The Yankee Stadium crowd was rudely awakened thanks to Alec Burleson’s first career three-homer game. The St. Louis first baseman left the yard in the first, fourth, and eighth innings, carrying the Cardinals to a 13-7 victory. Burleson is the first NL player to go deep three times in a contest in the Bronx since 1997 when Interleague Play began.
