Yesterday afternoon, the Seattle Mariners took on the Angels and walked away victorious, thanks in no small part to designated hitter Carlos Santana. Over the course of the contest, Santana belted two home runs for a combined five RBI, catalyzing his Club's offense. Santana's first longball, a grand slam, was smacked in the fifth inning off Angels left-handed starter Jose Suarez. His second was a ninth-inning solo shot. Naturally, Santana's explosive night helped his Mariners along to their eventual 9-1 victory.
