Picking up the 13th win of his 2022 Major League Baseball campaign wasn't the only thing for Joe Ryan to celebrate after last night's 7-0 Minnesota Twins blanking of the Detroit Tigers. Following his first two strikeouts of the contest, Ryan had set a new single-season strikeout record for a rookie, passing Francisco Liriano who collected 144 in his 2006 rookie year. Over his six-inning stint on the mound, Ryan had notched an impressive eight strikeouts, making the new Twins rookie-record 151.
