The Arizona Diamondbacks are headed back to the World Series for the first time since winning it in 2001. The Diamondbacks kids played a big role in the 4-2, Game 7 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies. The combined effort of Corbin Carroll’s three-hit, two-steal performance and Gabriel Moreno’s two knocks, including the go-ahead RBI single, were enough to get past the Phillies. Starting pitcher Brandon Pfaadt did his part as well, limiting the damage to just two runs, while strking out seven in his outing. The Diamondbacks bullpen, highlighted by Kevin Ginkel’s three punchouts in the eighth inning, handled the rest en route to their upset win.
